Adding a widget

Widgets are added through iOS, not from inside the app. On the Lock Screen, press and hold the screen, tap Customize, choose Lock Screen, then add a Daily Verse widget. On the Home Screen, press and hold an empty area, tap the add button, search for Daily Verse, and pick a size.

The verse did not change at the time I chose

iOS decides when a widget refreshes, so it may not happen exactly at your selected times. Check whether a passage is pinned, which mode is selected, and your update times in Settings. Use Clear Pin to return to the automatic mode.

Whole-Bible reading is not advancing

Progress moves only when you tap Mark Chapter Read. Searching, opening another chapter, or waiting does not advance it. Progress is kept per translation.

Reminders are not arriving

Check the reminder in the app's Settings and the notification permission in iOS Settings. The app and its widgets keep working if you decline notifications.

Restoring a purchase

Tap Restore Purchases on the plan screen or in Settings. Purchases restore only on the Apple Account that paid for them.

Managing or cancelling the subscription

Use Manage Subscription on the plan screen or in Settings, which opens Apple's subscription settings. Refunds are requested through Apple.

Buying Lifetime while subscribed

A Lifetime purchase does not cancel an active Monthly Subscription. Cancel the subscription through Manage Subscription so you are not charged twice.

A payment failed

Monthly Subscription keeps access during a 16-day billing grace period, and the app shows a notice. If it still does not renew and you do not own Lifetime, the app returns to its locked state. Lifetime does not renew and has no grace period.

My family member's purchase did not restore

Family Sharing is turned off for both products. Only the Apple Account that made the purchase can restore it.

Questions about a translation

Daily Verse shows the selected translation and its reference, not theological interpretation. Use Read Chapter for the wider passage and Source & License for the source and rights notices of each translation.
